MISO BRANDING | 2022
In collaboration with another designer, I was approached to help create Miso’s company brand identity with a goal of reflecting the company’s energy and vibrancy. Using their mascot, Miso the Shiba Inu, and the CEO’s love for anime and Japanese aesthetic as a basis for design, we created a uniquely stylized shiba illustration as the core of their brand. We went on to create custom shiba inu avatars for all employees, developing an array of accessories, faces, and fur colors that employees could select via a custom avatar program to build their very own shiba avatars. We also designed custom illustrations for Miso’s weekly blog entries among other illustration projects for the company.
Game Design
SONIC MANIA | 2017
The first 2D Sonic game in over a decade, Sonic Mania is a new HD platforming adventure that is a true celebration of the best of classic Sonic. The game contains re-imagined levels from the originals, as well as brand new zones, content, and score.
I worked with the principal designer, Jared Kasl, assisting level design creation and polish. We worked closely with the team’s programmers, artists, and musicians to create a cohesive product. I often collaborated with the art team, communicating unique asset needs while also providing some minor environmental concept art.
SPIRIT RUSH | 2016
Spirit Rush is a high-score chaser mobile game for iOS and Android. Players fight a variety of enemies while advancing through three different environments.
I came onto the project at its conceptual stage and assisted in the overall design and theme of the game. I took all assets from concept through implementation, having a large part in the game’s overall aesthetic, promotional art, character design, and environment design.
I also helped dictate level design, including gameplay and enemy wave behavior.
